French PSA factory located in Poissy will soon have to leave the production of its famous Peugeot 208. Indeed, as it was already the case for some parts of the car, the next generation of 208 will be fully made in the Trvana factory (Slovakia).
The car is expected for 2019. Poissy factory which was working overcapacity for the past years will now be dedicated to the production of DS3 only, before to welcome the next compact SUV of Peugeot.
As the DS brand is planning to go on full electric sooner or later, Poissy was chosen to become in the next years the first electrified platform of the group. Meanwhile, Trvana will be in charge of making 208 and Citroën C3 live some good years again.
