Accessibility Statement Arval Trading

Our commitment to accessibility

We strive to make our website accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities or limitations. We are constantly working to improve the accessibility of our digital offerings and comply with international standards.

Standards

We endeavour to design our website by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These guidelines have been developed to ensure accessibility for people with various disabilities, including:

  • Visual impairments and blindness
  • Hearing impairments and deafness
  • Cognitive impairments
  • Motor impairments
  • Speech and learning disabilities

Current status

We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of our website. The accessibility of this website was checked by Open Reply GmbH in June 2025.

Test environment

1. Test methods: External audit, based on automated and manual testing 2. Tools and software used:

  • Browser: Google Chrome MAC and IOS
  • Screenreader: VoiceOver MacOS and IOS
  • Tools: Silktide, Lighthouse, Stark, WCAG Contrast Checker, Browser inspector

Test results

The audit revealed that our website currently requires improvement in all four main areas of the WCAG guidelines:

  1. Perceivable: Information and user interfaces must be perceptible to the user
  2. Operable: The components of the user interface must be operable
  3. Understandable: The information and operation must be understandable
  4. Robust: Content must be robust enough to be reliably interpreted by different user agents

Conformity and violations

  • ✅ A total of 11 WCAG criteria are compliant
  • ❌ A total of 26 WCAG criteria are not compliant
  • 0⃣ A total of 18 WCAG criteria are not applicable, as either no corresponding content was available (e.g., no audio or video content, no motion triggering)

The following formats and content are not yet accessible and require improvements:

1. Images and other non-text content

  • Missing or insufficient text alternatives
  • Images are not fully accessible or misleading for screen readers

2. Structure and navigation

  • Lack of semantic structure and incorrect hierarchy
  • Illogical reading order
  • Incorrect "Skip to main content" link
  • Inconsistent navigation and identification
  • Lack of keyboard accessibility
  • Incomprehensible roles and names for groupings

3. Form fields and interactive controls

  • Lack of labelling and instructions
  • Insufficient error identification and suggestions
  • Lack of validation
  • Lack of keyboard accessibility
  • Small target sizes

4. General text presentation and links

  • Lack of contrast
  • Colours as the sole source of information
  • Legibility of typeface and layout
  • Unclear link purpose

5. Technical implementation (general)

  • Inconsistent roles and names
  • Missing status messages
  • Use of duplicate IDs
  • Lack of keyboard accessibility for interactive elements
  • Focus indicators are inconsistent

We are working hard to rectify these shortcomings and are committed to achieving a significant improvement in accessibility in all four areas by the end of 2025 at the latest. During this process, there may be temporary restrictions in terms of accessibility.
